Pits and Puddles

I have to catch and fill in my emptiness
Try to hold it before it sips in
Before it runs dry again
The transient satiety
Because I am not certain
Of the next time I can feel full again
Or is that full or fool?

Obviated (Say Goodbye)

obviated
The Oblation (UP-Baguio) 2014

Today’s prompt: Trust

obviate [ob-vee-eyt]

verb

1.to anticipate and prevent or eliminate (difficulties, disadvantages, etc.)by effective measures; render unnecessary:

to obviate the risk of serious injury.

There are times when you wanted to end something because you are afraid of the risks and hurt that might come. Truth is, maybe it’s not mere insecurity. Maybe, you just don’t trust yourself that you can withstand whatever the consequences are. Like that time when you had to break up with someone because you think that you and your love can’t make them stay longer. You drove him/her away by assuming the worst. You failed to trust him/her and his/her ability to defy odds. That chance in your relationship was obviated.
