Haiku #11: You remain


I remember you

forgiven, not forgotten

the feeling remains.


I, personally, don’t believe in the adage “Forgive and forget.” If you forgive, it doesn’t make you forget. Forgiveness can be given but it does not mean the hurt will go away with it. You don’t forget, you just accept the pain. They say forgiveness is the most beautiful form of love. With that, you overlook the pain a person gave you. And though you have moved on, you actually don’t forget the person and what he has made you feel. May it be love or pain.
